Two of Britains’ best loved comedians have today announced they are separating after 25 years of marriage.

Lenny henry and Dawn French were married in 1984 and have an adopted child.

The pair, who are stalwarts of the charity Comic relief have had long and celebrated careers on both TV and stage announced the split through their respective PR people.

We are pleased to see the split is amicable and wish them well. We would also like to offer the services of Divorce-Online to make the split even less expensive and stressful for the couple.

Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods is set to confess all his affairs and liaisons in a tell-all with Oprah Winfrey on TV in a bid to save his marriage and 600 million-pounds fortune, according to reports.

The troubled golfer is considering an “enticing” offer to appear on Winfrey’s top-rated chat show.

In a damage-repair move for his “Mr. Clean” image, he wants wife Elin Nordegren, 29, to join him on the famous sofa.

According to American TV insiders, 33-year-old Tiger will have to tell all if he is to save his crumbling reputation.

“Tiger absolutely hates talking about his private life but these are desperate times,” the Daily Star quoted US sources as saying.

“Going on television is a high-risk strategy but this could be the only way out for him. His image is taking a real hit,” said the sources.

Woods was under pressure after a string of babes came forward to claim he has had flings with them, and has thus confessed only to “transgressions” and apologised for his “sins.”

Tiger is also desperate to try to prevent his Swedish wife from taking him to the cleaners in the divorce courts, which could lead him to share his 600 million-pounds fortune.

Silvio, Silvio, Silvio

In a script worthy of a soap opera on one of Silvio Berlusconi’s bubbly television channels, the billionaire Italian leader said Monday that divorce from his wife is all but inevitable.

Having bitten his tongue Sunday when scorned former actress Veronica Lario revealed to the media through friends that her “marriage is over,” the 72-year-old — accused of “cavorting with minors” by his companion of nearly three decades — came back out fighting.

“Veronica must apologise publicly,” the one-time cruise ship crooner Berlusconi told Monday’s Corriere della Sera newspaper.

“Madam says I’m running around with 17-year-old girls. It’s an assertion I cannot allow,” Berlusconi said.

“I am friends with her father, that’s all. I swear.”

Sorry????

Sorry????

Almost a third of men and a fifth of women aged between 20 and 34 live at home with their parents, according to the Office of National Statistics.

The statisticians’ annual survey on the state of the nation also found more people were living alone in the UK, up from 6% in 1971 to 12% in 2008.

The figures also suggest marriage is becoming increasingly unpopular.

In 2006, there were 237,000 marriages in England and Wales, the lowest number since 1895.

Buying property

The Social Trends survey suggests people are getting married later in life and women are delaying motherhood, while grandparents are likely to be helping out with child care.

The average age to wed for the first time in the UK was nearly 30 for women in 2006 and about 32 for men. This is about two years later in life than a decade earlier.

The average age of women in England and Wales having their first baby was 27.5 in 2007 compared with just under 24 in 1971.

One trend that has been bucked is home ownership, according to the survey.

Over the quarter of a century up until 2006, the number of homeowners in the UK rose by 49% to 18.5 million. However, between 2006 and 2007, the number of homeowners fell by 1%.

Obese children

The report also paints a picture of how social trends are affecting the next generation.

In England, 31% of families are living in housing without adequate heating or facilities.

And in 2007, almost a third of all two-to 15-year-olds in England were said to be overweight or obese. This comes despite more children taking part in sports at school.

The report also outlined the nation’s relationship with new technology and how people like to spend their free time:

• Around half (49%) of all eight to 17-year-olds with internet access have a profile on a social networking site

• Ownership of a home computer has risen from 29% in 1998 to 70% in 2007

• Web use is higher among men than women but, overall, 34% listen to the radio or watch TV on the web and 12% use file-sharing sites

• Less than half (44%) of people in the UK read a national daily newspaper in 2008 compared with 72% in 1978

• Watching television remains the most popular pastime – named by more than 80% of men and women as their favourite way of spending their free time
