According to conservative commentators the dreadful interweb is causing the breakdown of more marriages than back in the good old days when you had to go to the phone box to call your mistress and letters were the preferred method of communication for errant partners.

Myself, I do not believe the internet is the cause of all these unhappy marriages, it is a tool and what people do on the internet reflects society as is it is today, which of course is self centred, egotistical, childish, self serving, materialistic and last but not least hedonistic.

In fact we are probably living in the modern equivalent of Sodom and Gomorrah and we all know what happened to the people who lived there, don’t we?

However, the fact is that  divorce is actually on the wane in the UK.

The statistics show, that over the last ten years there has been a steady decrease in divorce rates and this is mostly ( in my view), down to the fact that the average chav doesn’t get wed, and has had ten partners and 14 kids by 9 of them, who are all called Draylon or  Trafford or something by the time they are 35. Well at least they do in Swindon.
